Bringing essential healthcare to the isolated
Aid The Congo DRC is dedicated to saving lives and improving health conditions in the most remote and underserved rural communities of the Democratic Republic of Congo. We work on the ground to build essential health infrastructure and equip communities with the resources and knowledge they need. Mwanya Village marks the beginning of our work, with many more projects to come.

Mwanya Health Centre
The Mwanya Health Centre project aims to bring essential healthcare to a rural community in the DRC. Mwanya village, home to around 5,000 people on the banks of the Lomami River, currently serves as the primary health point for over 50 surrounding villages โ yet its only facility is a bare, under-resourced hut staffed by a single unpaid nurse with no electricity, minimal equipment, and no medical supplies to speak of. We are building a proper health centre that provides the community with a clean, well-equipped clinic and a dedicated space for health education.
